Moving Out

• Conduct needs analysis with client
• Prepare pre-move "To Do" checklist
• Sort out cupboards, drawers, and closets
• Organize the garage
• Identify and clearly label items going to storage
• Prepare a "Sanity Box" which contains settling-in essentials (bedding, towels, coffee pot, phone, etc... )
• Help children organize toys, books, and games
• Arrange for pick-up of donated items
• Identify and clearly label items going via airfreight, by seafreight, into permanent storage, and with the client as baggage (for international moves)
  

Settling In

• Conduct needs analysis with client
• Serve as liaison with delivery crew and service people on delivery day
• Unpack and organize essential items in kitchen
• Locate linens and make up beds & bathroom areas
• Plug in lamps and set clocks to proper time
• Unpack children's toys, books, and games
• Hang and organize clothing in closets
• Arrange books on bookshelves
• Collect empty cartons and packing materials for pick-up
